Description

This array DG (discontinuous Galerkin) kernel implements the following piece of a weak form:

where is the test function, is the finite element solution and is the diffusion coefficients for all components of the array variable. and are the jump and average of the enclosed quantity on the internal sides.

is a unit norm defined on internal sides denoted by . can be 1, -1, and 0, corresponding symmetric, asymmetric and incomplete interior penalty methods respectively. The penalty coefficients are evaluated with the following formulation: where is the polynomial order of the shape functions; is the length of the element orthogonal to the side; is an adjustable constant.
